The latest episode of Mnet's Show Me The Money 12 delivered high-stakes performances and emotional eliminations as the rap competition series entered its crucial track mission phase. Episode 8, which aired on March 5, saw four contestants eliminated across the four producer teams, with rapper DKAY's departure and Kim Haon's explosive performance stealing the spotlight.

Lil Moshpit's 'No Manners' Sets the Tone

The episode kicked off with producer Lil Moshpit (Groovyroom's Hwimin) unveiling his team's track mission beat, immediately drawing excitement from his team members. Teammates reacted with praise, calling it "the real deal" and "a total hit." The track, titled "No Manners," reflected Lil Moshpit's unapologetic production style.

Fellow producer Jay Park explained the concept behind the aggressive sound. "Groovyroom's Hwimin is kind and thinks about people when making music, but Lil Moshpit is less accommodating — he makes music his own way. That's why this theme is called 'No Manners,'" Jay Park noted.

The team of DKAY, Flowsik, Gene the Zilla, Jeffrey White, and Travi delivered a hard-hitting performance that matched the beat's intensity. However, when elimination time came, DKAY was the one to go. Jay Park praised the departing rapper, saying, "DKAY was incredible, but I feel like he showed everything he had to show." DKAY accepted the decision gracefully, expressing gratitude for the opportunity. "I'm happy to have come this far. Coming to Korea and showing my rap for the first time, I gained so much experience," he said.

Money Checks and Team Chemistry

The J.Tong and Hooky Sivaseky team followed with their track "Money Checks," a beat that producer Hooky described as having "the smell of money." Team members including NowImYoung, DoubleDown, Yeongshuleo, FlickyBang, and Royal44 delivered an energetic performance that impressed the judges. Crush highlighted the synergy between Royal44 and FlickyBang, while Zico praised the team's overall polish, calling it "refined, elevated, yet still exciting." Yeongshuleo was eliminated from this team.

The Gray and Loco team presented "Ssak (featuring Loco)" with team members Kwon Ohsun, Mason Home, Oxynova, ForgitAtTheBottom, and Thai rapper MILLI. Oxynova was eliminated from this group after what judges described as a strong but ultimately outmatched performance.

Kim Haon Steals the Show

The night's standout moment belonged to the Zico-Crush team, where former Show Me The Money 777 champion Kim Haon opened their performance of "TICK TOCK (featuring Zico)" with a commanding verse that left fellow contestants and producers speechless. Gene the Zilla, watching from backstage, exclaimed, "Why is he so good?" — a sentiment echoed across the studio.

The performance, which also featured Nosun, Rapsandu, Marv, and Jung Junhyuk, showcased the kind of polished, high-energy rap that has made Kim Haon a frontrunner in the competition. Nosun was eliminated from the team, narrowing the competition to 16 remaining contestants who will advance to the team diss battle round.
