Kim Jun-han Transforms Into Ambitious Antagonist for tvN's Star-Studded "How to Become a Building Owner"
The Hospital Playlist actor joins Ha Jung-woo and Krystal Jung in a suspenseful new Saturday-Sunday drama

Actor Kim Jun-han is set to bring intense dramatic tension to screens as he takes on the role of an ambitious and morally complex character in tvN's upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama "How to Become a Building Owner in Korea."
The production team behind the new series, premiering March 14, released an in-depth interview with Kim Jun-han on March 4, offering a first look at his portrayal of Min Hwal-sung — a man whose relentless pursuit of wealth leads him down a dangerous path. In the drama, Min Hwal-sung is the close friend of protagonist Ki Su-jong, played by veteran actor Ha Jung-woo.
A Character Driven by Hidden Ambition
Min Hwal-sung is described as a man of striking appearance and smooth eloquence who successfully married Jeon Yi-kyung, the daughter of a wealthy family, portrayed by Krystal Jung. However, living as a son-in-law under his wife and mother-in-law's constant scrutiny, he becomes desperate to prove his worth. His attempts to accumulate money spiral into increasingly reckless decisions, setting in motion a chain of events that threatens everyone around him.
Kim Jun-han shared his enthusiasm for the role during the interview. "The character offered room for interpretation in many different directions, which made me eager to take it on," the actor explained. "Hwal-sung lives by standards that are quite different from most people. The choices he considers perfectly reasonable are fascinating and surprising from the outside. Playing someone whose words and actions constantly defy expectations was actually an enjoyable process."
Working Alongside Ha Jung-woo
The actor also expressed his excitement about sharing the screen with Ha Jung-woo, one of Korea's most respected leading men. "He's a senior I've admired as both a fellow actor and a fan for many years, so this collaboration was genuinely thrilling," Kim Jun-han said. "Watching him carry the weight of the lead role while leading the entire set with such leadership taught me a great deal."
Their on-screen dynamic is expected to be a central engine of the drama's suspense. Min Hwal-sung's proposal to Ki Su-jong — a building owner drowning in debt — is set to trigger massive consequences for both characters and their families.
A Star-Studded Suspense Drama
"How to Become a Building Owner in Korea" tells the story of a cash-strapped building owner who becomes entangled in a fake kidnapping scheme in a desperate bid to protect his family and property. The drama boasts a heavyweight ensemble cast that includes Ha Jung-woo, Lim Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Krystal Jung, and Shim Eun-kyung.
A recently released five-character poster captured the conflicting gazes of each lead — from Ha Jung-woo's anxious eyes to Shim Eun-kyung's chilling villain stare — promising a web of clashing desires and unpredictable twists. The script was penned by novelist-turned-screenwriter Oh Han-gi, with direction by Im Pil-sung and production by Studio Dragon.
Kim Jun-han has built a reputation as a dependable scene-stealer through acclaimed dramas including "Hospital Playlist," "One Spring Night," "Anna," and "Good Partner." His transformation into the ambitious Min Hwal-sung marks one of his most dramatically charged roles to date.
The drama premieres on tvN on Saturday, March 14 at 9:10 PM KST.
